Badminton is the sport that the students playing in PE. Learning to use the quick hits powered by the wrist, less arm as in tennis, is certainly a challenge. Badminton can be played as singles mens or womens, or doubles. They often hear the phrase: "Keep Your Eye on the Birdie".
Congratulations to the following students for competing at the US National Sport Stacking Competitions on March 29 & 30, 2014:
6th g., Sydney B. racing in the 3-3-3, 3-6-3, & the Cycle races on Sat.qualified her to compete in the finals on
Sunday. Sydney took 4th place in the Cycle with her fastest time of 11.015s, along with doing well on the other two races, qualified her for the Jr. Olympics of Sport Stacking in Iowa.
6th g., Ryland B. was paired up with 3 other boys to compete in the 3-6-3 and the Cycle Relays. The team qualified to compete on Sun. in the 3-6-3 Relay. He received 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medals for his relays.
3rd g., Carson B. was paired up with 3 other boys to compete in the relays, and received 2nd place medal in the Cycle Relay.
Thanks to these student's parents for taking them to Kansas City, MO to compete in this US National Sport Stacking Competition. What an awesome experience!
